Matt & Hannah
We're Matt and Hannah Burks — the owners of Harvest House.
We're both Denton natives and University of North Texas grads with degrees in Hospitality Management, which is a formal way of saying we've spent our whole lives learning how to take care of people.
Matt grew up here — Woodrow Wilson Elementary, Strickland Middle, Ryan High. He bartended his way through college on Fry Street, managed the bar at one of the best-known spots on the Square, and spent years behind the bar at craft cocktail and beer venues across DFW.
Hannah built her career opening restaurants, bars, and venues on the Denton Square, ran a private restaurant and bar in Breckenridge, Colorado, and has coordinated events for organizations around the world.
Our story started right here. We met on the opening management team of a restaurant on the Square — Denton is where we found each other, and Harvest House is where we're putting down roots.
What we want for this place
A stage where live music thrives. A team that's treated like family. A yard where you can lose a whole afternoon. And a long table with a seat for everybody in this town.
We're here to pour into what's already good — the people, the music, the garden — and to keep this a place where friends gather and everyone feels welcome.
Because this isn't about us. It's about the Harvest House family, our staff, and the community that's made this place what it is.
